I was here for dinner with a group of 3. We ordered the saganaki, zucchini croquettes, and fries as our appetizers. For our main course we chose the lamb shoulder, fried calamari, and beetroot salad (ours had just 2 pieces of beetroot and a whole heap of salad leaves).
While the appetizers were great, I must admit that I found the pricing of the dishes to be on the higher side. The portion sizes were veryy small ☹️ and I didn't feel that I received good value for my money. In comparison, I've had a more satisfying experience at the Greek taverna restaurant on Port Road. There, a $35 dish provides enough food to last for yet another meal without compromising the quality of food.
Eros Greek Restaurant was a delightful impulse dinner choice, especially for seafood enthusiasts. The chargrilled octopus was an absolute standout, among the best I've ever had. Tender and fresh, it boasted a perfect balance of flavours. Though the halmoumi was slightly saltier and lacked sufficient figs, the overall experience was enjoyable. Pairing the food with a glass of red, particularly Mother's Milk, was a winning combination. I can't wait to return in the summer for another memorable dining experience.
I took my daughter there for lunch to celebrate completing her year 12 exam. We really enjoyed the service and recommendation of the waitress. It was just perfect size for us for lunch. Super delicious. We will be back again to try other dishes. Highly recommend this place. 💖 …
Fantastic greek cuisine. Awesome little Greek restaurant in the heart of Adelaide. Some of the best service you will find anywhere. The food is great and the Greek drinks even better.
I would have given 5 stars for food if the octopus wasn't a little over done. The spitroasted lamb shoulder was to die for.
Highly recommended.
Food was delicious!
Indoor dining was crowded, but service was still good, even on a busy public holiday evening.
Not suitable for young kids, as only adult meals on offer, which all range around the $40+ mark.
We had a group of 4 adults and 4 children and we spent over $550 (which included the 15% public holiday surcharge).
If you love Greek food, this is a must.
Great banquet option. The food was fresh and delicious, good friendly service.
We were able to get to our table half an hour late, but we didn't have much trouble because the staff was friendly and interested. Unfortunately, we did not like the food. First of all, the portions in the appetizer plate were incredibly small and the potatoes were not well sauced, the dill appetizer was very salty, but the pink colored fish appetizer tasted very good. The seasoning of the meatballs was not good and I didn't expect it to come with tomato sauce, maybe it's my fault I didn't realize it was in tomato sauce. The calamari was big but not fresh enough . the chop meat was nice. we chose the 2nd uzo in the list and it was very light. Finally, if you have a reservation for the table in the middle, take a jacket because the door keeps opening and you get cold.
Friendly service, food is superb and baklava dessert was a winner! We will be back next visit to Adelaide :)
